I am currently doctoral candidate at the Michigan School of Psychology. I received my master’s degree from Western Michigan University in 2017 and have since worked in outpatient and hospital settings with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations. My clinical experience includes supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, emotional and behavioral concerns, women’s health issues, Autism, life transitions, and relationship or family challenges. I have a strong background in working with diverse clients and strive to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive space where each person feels heard, respected, and understood. I am passionate about helping clients build insight, strengthen coping skills, and move toward meaningful growth and healing.
My Unique Approach to Therapy
I approach therapy through a cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, and holistic lens that honors each person’s lived experiences, culture, relationships, strengths, thoughts, behaviors, emotions, and the ways they make meaning of their experiences.
Specialized & Extended Training
I have extended trainings in Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), neuroanatomy, and pediatric neuropsychology, as well as continued coursework while enrolled as a doctoral candidate. Additionally, all Start My Wellness therapists attend at least 120 hours of extensive ongoing training and personal development each year on treating a range of mental health concerns. This rigorous instruction allows us to provide patients with the highest quality of service.
