About Me: Bill Bloom

I am a Michigan Licensed Psychologist. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Auburn University and did an internship at a VA hospital in the Chicago area. I worked as a staff neuropsychologist at Sinai Hospital/The Detroit Medical Center for over ten years. I recently retired as psychologist/diagnostician at an autism diagnostic clinic in the Department of Pediatrics at Corewell Health (formerly Beaumont) after 20 years. I maintain a private practice at Start My Wellness doing neuropsychological testing for children and adults for a wide range of issues, including autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and traumatic brain injury. My psychotherapy practice currently includes treating adults with ADHD, adults on the autism spectrum, and individuals with traumatic brain injuries, as well as people with various problems in living related to trauma and acquired disabilities. I work with families navigating these issues in their loved one. I currently teach and supervise psychology graduate students and limited licensed psychologists in neuropsychology and psychotherapy. When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family at the lake shore and exploring the natural beauty of our landscape by hiking and supporting environmental restoration projects. ***Please contact us directly for insurance information.***

My Unique Approach to Therapy

Because of the wide variety of experiences I have had over the course of my career, I am able to take a broad perspective on what can help in a specific situation. My focus is on the person in their environment and how I can intervene to maximize adaptation and health.

Specialized & Extended Training

I provide training and supervision to psychology graduate students, as well as supervise limited licensed masters and doctoral level psychologists. I also provide administrative and clinical supervision to a core interdisciplinary team treating children and adults with traumatic brain injury and related conditions.
