About Me: Karelyn Dippel

With a passion for supporting the well-being of children and families, I have worked within child welfare for over four years, and continue to be dedicated to providing compassionate and effective care to help families thrive. My approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, as I believe every child and family deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.
My practice focuses on supporting children, adolescents, and families facing a variety of challenges and transitions. Whether navigating behavioral concerns, coping with trauma, or strengthening family relationships, I am here to offer guidance, support, and practical tools to promote healing and resilience. I understand that each family is unique, and I tailor my approach to meet the specific needs and goals of the individuals I serve.

My Unique Approach to Therapy

In my work with children and families, I utilize a strengths-based and family-centered approach. I believe in the power of collaboration and partnership in the therapeutic process. I work closely with children, parents, caregivers, and other professionals involved in the child’s life to develop comprehensive and holistic treatment plans. I help children and families explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a supportive and nonjudgmental space. Together, we develop strategies to build communication skills, enhance coping mechanisms, and foster healthy relationships within the family system. By empowering families to actively participate in their healing journey, I strive to foster positive outcomes and lasting change that extend beyond the therapy room.

Specialized & Extended Training

All Start My Wellness therapists attend at least 120 hours of extensive ongoing training and personal development each year on treating a range of mental health concerns. This rigorous instruction allows us to provide patients with the highest quality of service.
