About Me: Serenity (Personna) Hover

As a compassionate therapist and wellness advocate, I am deeply committed to helping individuals heal, grow, and thrive. Many people struggle with self-esteem, life transitions, or feeling weighed down by responsibilities. If you are looking for relief, clarity, and the tools to move forward, I can walk alongside you in that process. My approach integrates faith, cognitive behavioral therapy, and holistic wellness—helping you find peace in both mind and spirit.

I have supported teens, young adults, and women in developing the confidence and resilience they need to live balanced and fulfilling lives. I believe therapy is not just about “getting through” challenges, but about learning how to live well and flourish in all areas—spiritual, emotional, physical, and even financial.

I graduated from the University of Michigan with a Master of Social Work (MSW), where I concentrated in Child Welfare and built extensive experience in therapy, case management, and community-based services. Beyond therapy, I also lead self-care workshops, wellness events, and empowerment groups, blending counseling, skincare, and holistic practices.

My Unique Approach to Therapy

What makes my practice unique is my patient-centered, faith-informed approach. I believe therapy should be a partnership where you feel seen, supported, and spiritually grounded. I regularly invite feedback: Are we addressing the issues that matter most to you? Do you feel encouraged and empowered? Together, we make sure therapy feels useful, relevant, and aligned with your personal and spiritual goals.

I bring together evidence-based techniques, biblical truths, and holistic practices that encourage healing from the inside out. This allows me to meet clients where they are—whether they seek faith-based counseling, practical coping tools, or a safe space for emotional release.

Specialized & Extended Training

I continue to invest in my development as both a therapist and wellness professional. My experiences include clinical training in child welfare, identity development, and therapeutic prevention/intervention. I have specialized in applying Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) integrated with faith-based principles. In addition, I am engaged in ongoing study and practice in holistic health, wellness coaching, and self-esteem development. I also have experience facilitating workshops, community wellness events, and women’s empowerment groups.
