About Me: Taylor Colquitt

Everyone has their own unique journey through therapy. As a therapist at Start My Wellness, I strive to be my most authentic self, characterized by warmth, empathy, and genuine curiosity about your experiences. I will always provide a nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, validated, and supported as we navigate your inner worlds! I have experience working with adolescents ages 12+ and adults navigating various struggles such as depression, anxiety, self-harming behaviors, self-esteem/confidence issues and relationship/family violence.

I completed by Bachelor of Arts in Social Work degree at Michigan State University with a focus in human behavior, and my Master of Social Work degree at Michigan State University as well through their clinical advanced-standing program.

My Unique Approach to Therapy

I am a Limited-Licensed Master Social Worker with a longstanding passion for therapy. I prioritize forming a strong therapeutic alliance built on trust, respect, and genuine understanding. My goals are to guide you through your emotions, thoughts and past experiences. In practice, I collaborate closely with my clients to create a safe and nonjudgmental space for exploration and growth. Together, we work to uncover strengths, identify barriers or patterns, and develop effective and empowering coping strategies through processing in order promote lasting change and resilience.

Specialized & Extended Training

All Start My Wellness therapists attend at least 120 hours of extensive ongoing training and personal development each year on treating a range of mental health concerns. This rigorous instruction allows us to provide patients with the highest quality of service.
