About Jordan Reynolds
Perhaps you are feeling unfulfilled, troubled with uncertainties, or having difficulty finding ways to cope. I am passionate about supporting you through these overwhelming times. I utilize a strengths-based approach that will empower you to reach your goals and live a more satisfying life. I view therapy as a unique experience that is tailored to fit every individual.
I graduated with my B.A. in Psychology from Oakland University and my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Michigan, where I focused on interpersonal practice and mental health. I have clinical experience working with adolescents and adults with mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and substance abuse. My skill set incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and dialectical behavioral therapy.
As a therapist, my goal is to provide individuals with a comfortable and empathetic environment. I place a high value on creating a genuine client-therapist relationship that encompasses mutual trust and respect. I believe that every person is deserving of an opportunity to better understand themselves and reach their full potential. I will work directly alongside you as we navigate your journey of personal growth and work to create positive change.
Unique Approach to Therapy
Connecting with each client is a vital part of my practice, unlike some providers in mental health, I view each person as important and not just “a number“. I find that checking in regularly with clients about their goals and current satisfaction helps foster a trusting client/provider relationship focused on individual growth. Also, I find it important to work with each person in identifying any barriers that may be present which could hinder therapy and medication from “doing their job“. I firmly believe that positive mental health and well-being does not happen in “a vacuum”, but many factors affect this, therefore a holistic approach is required to achieve lasting results.
