Our Explain Mind psychological testing program offers comprehensive evaluations by licensed psychologists to assess a range of conditions, such as ADHD, anxiety, or depression.

Additionally, psychological testing goes beyond diagnosing conditions: it helps reveal personal strengths that, when fostered, can build self-confidence, improve emotional resilience, and provide clarity for building a balanced life.

Following testing, you’ll receive a clear, easy-to-read report summarizing your results, explaining their significance, and offering recommendations for personalized support. If you choose to pursue therapy, your testing results will help inform personalized treatment that addresses your unique needs while promoting your strengths.

Psychological Testing FAQs

HIDDEN - DO NOT DELETE
What is Psychological Testing?
Psychological testing is a systematic and evidence-based process for evaluating an individual’s mental health, including cognitive abilities, emotions, and behaviors. Licensed psychologists conduct these evaluations to help determine symptoms and possible conditions an individual might be facing to develop a tailored treatment plan that addresses these symptoms and promotes an individual’s strengths and unique abilities.
Can You Do Psychological Testing Online?

Professional testing can be done online by a licensed psychologist trained to administer and interpret psychological tests in your state. Psychological testing, which can involve evaluations, assessments, or screenings, involves thorough and evidence-based procedures to rule out certain conditions, observe specific behaviors, and fully understand an individual’s mental health.

Start My Wellness offers online psychological testing on a case-by-case basis to ensure you receive the most accurate and highest quality evaluations possible for each individual. If you are interested in our online psychological testing program, please contact Dr. Bill Bloom at drbloomphd@startmywellness.com.

What Kinds of Questions Are on a Psychological Test?
Psychological tests may include questions about your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in certain situations, background information and history, records reviews and rating scales. These questions are designed to approach mental health and its aspects from a multi-point view to determine the presence of specific symptoms an individual may be struggling with and pinpoint areas where individuals need the most support.
Does Insurance Cover Online Psychological Tests?

Insurance may cover online psychological testing, but it does not have the same coverage as general behavioral health services, such as therapy sessions. Coverage varies by state, plan, and type of test, and in most cases, insurance will only cover evaluations if they are deemed medically necessary to diagnose a mental health condition. Can a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Administer Psychological Tests?
Psychological tests can be performed by mental health professionals who have specific training in evaluating and diagnosing mental health conditions. Often, psychiatric nurse practitioners (PMHNPS) are trained to administer psychiatric evaluations, which have overlap with psychological testing, but the scope of testing will be limited to the PMHNP’s specific training.
