I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself. I value taking the time to understand your unique experiences, strengths, and goals. I value the opportunity to work with individuals across all stages of life.
I support clients in recognizing their strengths, building confidence, and developing practical tools they can use beyond the therapy setting. My goal is to help each client gain a deeper understanding of themselves, feel more capable of managing life’s challenges, and create positive, lasting changes that support a greater sense of balance, fulfillment, and well-being.
Prior to becoming a psychologist, I worked as an Applied Behavioral Therapist. This experience strengthened my ability to understand individual needs, recognize behavioral patterns, and provide individualized support. It continues to inform my approach as a therapist.
I have experience working with children and adolescents ages 6 and older, as well as adults navigating a variety of challenges, including grief, trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, self-esteem and confidence issues, and relationship concerns.
I graduated from the Michigan School of Psychology, where I developed a strong foundation in humanistic psychology. Throughout my clinical internship, I had the opportunity to further develop my skills as a therapist while working with individuals with a variety of presenting concerns and diagnoses. My internship deepened my understanding of the therapeutic relationship and strengthened my ability to listen with empathy, recognize each client’s unique strengths, and collaboratively develop treatment that reflects their individual needs and goals.
During my time at the Michigan School of Psychology, I also served as Marketing Chair for the IDEA Group, where I helped support students and contributed to initiatives that strengthened our school community. I am also a member of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, reflecting my dedication to continued learning and professional growth.
My Unique Approach to Therapy
I incorporate creative and experiential techniques such as expressive art, music, play, and metaphorical associative cards in addition to CBT techniques to help clients explore emotions, express themselves, and explore perspectives that may be difficult to put into words. My approach extends beyond traditional conversation and is always tailored to each individual.
Specialized & Extended Training
I am committed to continued professional growth and expanding my clinical knowledge so that I can provide the most effective and informed support to my clients. All Start My Wellness therapists attend at least 120 hours of extensive ongoing training and personal development each year on treating a range of mental health concerns. This rigorous instruction allows us to provide patients with the highest quality of service.
