Patient: Does it mean I’m crazy if I go to therapy?
Therapist: A common misconception is that “only crazy people go to therapy.” A lot of people go to therapy for a variety of reasons. Sometimes they have significant life changes that they may need to process and talk to somebody about. They may want to make certain improvements in their life in terms of relationships with other people. They may be dealing with work-related stress. There’s a variety of reasons that people may go to therapy and not just necessarily because they’re struggling with a mental health disorder.
